Thank You, Girl Scouts!

The Kids 4 Ever House recently had a front yard beautification project! We’d like to say thank you to Samantha Le, Sarah Taylor, and Abby Pelliteri from Girl Scout Troop 11494. They funded and completed this project by themselves for their Silver Award Project. The girls heard about Kids 4 Ever, Inc. a not-for profit organization, through The Hillside Handymen, who helped completely restore the inside of the house in 2015. The Girl Scouts contacted us to share that that they wanted to help, and after scouting out a few locations they determined that the front yard of Kids 4 Ever could use a welcoming makeover.

The Kids 4 Ever House is a three-bedroom home located next door to Totally Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. The program offers affordable accommodations to families for a nominal fee of $10 per night.  This family-centered, homelike environment, allows families who live out of the area to spend quality time with their child in physical rehab recovering from an injury or surgery, or their child with special needs due to technology dependence.  A place to relax provides valuable respite.

We are so thankful for Samantha, Sarah, and Abby, for their hard work and caring hearts. It is wonderful to know that The Hillside Handymen are still connecting people with a desire to serve their community to us. Thank you, girls!
